Here's some old 1960s BBC footage when Panorama made a documentary special on the Liverpool FC and the football fever that grips Merseyside. This is when the Kop alone used to hold 21,000 people; check the rhythmic swaying and the Beatles tunes being sung. This is what being a football fan is all about: passion on the terraces. Though the least said about urinating down rolled up newspapers the better.
